Hey! I wouldn't conflate "going to production ASAP" with at what stage of development ITN appears.
ITN is both a mechanism for us to properly test our testnet, engage the community but it's also in a way a marketing event for us. My preference is that we run an ITN when it makes sense, and it makes the most sense when tech delivers a substantially changed network that we need it.
We're at a point where we have a working node setup with Piecrust, where we have a pretty feature parity Rust implementation of the node. There's still some implementation disparities, but these are on the list of items to resolve. Theoretically, at that point, we could run a network with both implementations if we want.
There's also the question of the web wallet. I know this is a much demanded item from the communities perspective, and we've had a lot of discussion internally if we should wait first for that to be finalized before we do an ITN 2, besides what tech considers to be important to be put in there.
