AQ’s summary was spot on. We were there to ask for clarity and help. The SEC was there to listen. No promises, no indicated feedback timeline. Yes we did raise the secondary market topic. I said further clarity ‘in writing’ would be very helpful. I think the ‘commodity or security’ question will be clarified with Trumps new ‘Clarity Act of 2025’ which will hopefully pass very soon. I also raised the topic of ‘pre-mined coins’ and asked for help to resolve the situation of having the existence of LBC tokens in two different states (toxic & non-toxic). I think we can agree LBRY Inc’s tokens are currently definitely securities and I believe that this decision by the judge has 1 chance in 100 of being reversed. Hester expressed concern that if there was something they could do to help LBRY’s situation, the price would likely pump causing people to lose money when people dumped. Adam reminded Hester that the community has already lost most of their LBC value and that any movement in the price would most likely be positive, not negative. Regarding your question about whether LBRY Inc. still has to be liquidated… or has it already happened. I have my opinion on both parts of this question but I don’t have enough confidence in its correctness to express it here. The SEC caused LBRY’s bankruptcy, but they don’t govern its status. I’d like to say, I was INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED with the reception we were given. I wasn’t expecting to be meeting with SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, let alone several additional colleagues in her team. They listened intently, genuinely. They asked lots of questions. We had total control of the meeting agenda. Again… INCREDIBLY IMPRESSED. It gave me the feeling that the future is going to be very positive for crypto in the US. Hopefully for LBRY too.
